Mini-Grants: School for the Future Grants
Overview
School for the Future Grants are awarded annually to member schools of the Teacher Center consortium through a competitive process based on the ratings of submitted applications. The maximum amount for each award is $3,000 and dependent upon continuation of Teacher Center funding.
The goals of this grant are:
- to support a school-based project that involves collaboration between a school's principal, faculty, and/or site-based team that is supported by current research and standards;
- to support a school seeking change in curriculum and/or structure;

to support action research projects to effect changes in practices and/or procedures to improve student achievement.
Application Procedures:
Grant applications are to be a maximum length of four (typed) pages. The original proposal is to be signed by those officials designated on the application and four copies are to be sent to:

Fiscal Procedures:
Expenditures incurred during the operation of this project will be paid by the public school district where the project is located, and the Teacher Center will reimburse the district in one payment. Records of purchase orders and payments must be kept by the district. BUDGET ITEMS MUST BE SUPPORTED BY THE PROPOSAL NARRATIVE AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL REGULATIONS.
